Carnivore Waffles

Looking for a simple breakfast that fits your carnivore lifestyle? These carnivore waffles might be exactly what you need. Made with just two ingredients – eggs and cheese – they’re possibly the easiest waffles you’ll ever make.

Carnivore Waffles

Most waffle recipes call for flour, sugar, and various other plant based ingredients. But these waffles skip all that and still deliver a delicious, satisfying breakfast option that works perfectly for anyone following a carnivore diet.

My Carnivore Cookbook

The eggs provide structure while the cheese adds flavor and a wonderful texture when melted.

What I love about these waffles is how versatile they are. You can enjoy them plain, top them with bacon, or even add some butter on top for extra richness.

They make a great base for other carnivor friendly toppings like ground beef, shredded chicken, or more cheese if you’re feeling hungry.

👍 Why You’ll Love This Recipe

Two Ingredient Wonder: These waffles need just eggs and cheese – that’s it! No long shopping lists or expensive specialty ingredients to hunt down.

Super Quick Breakfast: From start to finish, these waffles take less than 10 minutes to make. Just whisk the eggs, stir in cheese, and cook for about 5 minutes.

      💡Tips

      1. Grease It

Even if your waffle iron is non-stick, it’s a good idea to grease it a little. You can use a bit of butter or some cooking spray. This extra step helps ensure your waffles won’t stick and makes cleanup easier.

Just be careful not to use too much, or your waffles might turn out greasy. A light coating is all you need.

      2. Let Them Rest

Let them rest on a wire rack for a minute or two. This short rest allows the cheese to set a bit. It also helps them crisp up even more as steam escapes.

Don’t stack the waffles on top of each other while they’re hot, or they might get soggy from the steam.

If you’re making a big batch, you can keep the finished waffles warm in a low oven (about 200°F) while you cook the rest.

      Toppings

      • Butter – A classic choice. Top your chaffle with a small slice of high quality butter for some added fat and flavor. Grass-fed butter is a great option.
      • Sour Cream – A dollop of sour cream can add a tangy contrast to the savory chaffle.
      • Cream Cheese – Softened cream cheese spread over the hot chaffle can be a decadent addition.
      • Bacon

      Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make these waffles without a waffle iron

While a waffle iron is ideal, you can make them in a regular pan. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat, pour in some of the egg and cheese mixture, and cook it like a pancake.

Flip it when the bottom is golden brown. It won’t have the same crispy texture as a waffle, but it’ll still be tasty.

What’s the best way to reheat these waffles?

The best way to reheat these waffles is in a toaster or under the broiler. This helps maintain their crispy texture. Avoid using a microwave as it can make them soggy.

Can I make a big batch and freeze them?

Yes, these waffles freeze well. After cooking, let them cool completely. Then, place them in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze until solid (about 1-2 hours).

Once frozen, you can transfer them to a freezer bag or container. Put parchment paper between each waffle to prevent sticking.
