💡Tips

1. Chilling

It’s important to refrigerate them for at least an hour before serving. It allows the flavors to meld and develop. During this time, the subtle tastes of the mayonnaise, mustard (if used), and shrimp will infuse into the egg mixture. Secondly, chilling firms up the filling, making the eggs easier to handle and eat.

2. Experimenting with Seasonings

While the basic recipe is delicious on its own, experimenting with different seasonings can open up a world of flavor possibilities.

Start with the base seasonings mentioned in the recipe – salt and optional garlic powder. These provide a good foundation, but don’t be afraid to branch out. Fresh or dried herbs can add a wonderful aroma and flavor.

A pinch of paprika not only adds color but also a subtle sweetness. For a bit of heat, try a dash of cayenne pepper or a sprinkle of Old Bay seasoning.
