Using Different Cheese

To make these air fryer tuna patties, I used grated Parmesan cheese, but you could use any type of cheese that you like.

I think that cheddar cheese would be really good in these as well. Try mixing up the cheese that you use to find a combination that you like the best.

You can even use some Gorgonzola cheese in these air fryer tuna patties for a really nice flavor.

But- don’t go too crazy with the cheese, because it can make the patties taste way too cheesy. Just use enough to get a nice flavor, but not so much that it overpowers the tuna.

Is Tuna Healthy?

Canned tuna is very high in protein, but it’s very low in fat. So, when you make tuna patties in an air fryer, you need to ad healthy fats to make sure they don’t dry out.

Some people also worry about the mercury in tuna, but if you don’t eat it every day, you don’t need to worry. There are also man brands of canned tuna that are lower in mercury than others.

Different Seasonings

To make these tuna patties, I used my favorite seasonings. But, if you want to switch things up a bit, you can use your favorite herbs and spices instead.

I plan on making these air fryer tuna patties soon with smoked paprika- I think this combination will be delicious!

Freezing

You can freeze these air fried tuna patties. The texture won’t change much after being frozen and thawed, but they will be a little more crumbly.

You can vacuum seal them for the best results. To reheat, just pop them in the air fryer for a few minutes until heated through.

Pork Rinds Powder

I added pork rinds crumbs to make the texture more interesting, and it helps to bind the patties together.

I use pork rinds in many of my recipes. You can buy them online or in the store. They are cheap and you can use them in many different ways.

Dipping Sauce

To make these patties extra tasty, I like dipping them in low carb sauces like this keto horseradish sauce. On my website, you can find many other great dipping sauce recipes.
