1lb (450g) Chicken Breast (thinly sliced) – if you don’t have a very sharp knife at home (or lack the required cutting skills), ask your butcher to slice chicken breast thinly for schnitzels.

1/2 cup (50g) Almond Flour

1 egg

1/4 tablespoon Onion Powder

1/4 tablespoon Garlic Powder

1/4 tablespoon Smoked Paprika

pinch of Salt and Pepper

Coconut Oil/butter (for frying)

Follow these easy instructions to make the perfect low carb chicken schnitzel:

Step 1

Start by making the coating seasoning. Mix garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika with almond flour, salt, and pepper.

Step 2

Crack the egg in another bowl and beat it. Avoid making too much foam. Put it to the side.

Step 3

If you bought a whole chicken breast, you would first need to cut it into slivers.

To do this, hold the chicken breast horizontally on a cutting board, and use a sharp knife to slice it against the grain into thin strips.

You can also ask your butcher to do this for you.

Then, use a meat tenderizer to crush the strips of chicken.
