9oz veal (260g) – 2 schnitzels.
Tallow or Ghee
For The Breadcrumbs
1 Large Egg
1oz (30g) Grated Parmesan Cheese

1 tablespoon Heavy Whipping Cream
🐄 How To Make Keto Beef Schnitzel
Follow these steps to make the best keto veal schnitzel:
Step 1
Start by mixing coconut flour, parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, garlic powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
Then, add egg, olive oil, and whipping cream. Mix again.
Step 2
Microwave the mixture for about 2.5 minutes.
Step 3
Let it cool completely. Use a food processor to turn it into crumbs.
Step 4
Use a meat mallet to form thin veal cutlets. Try to make them as thin as possible.
Step 5
Lightly sprinkle salt and pepper (or your preferred seasoning) on both sides of the veal cutlet.
Step 6
Beat an egg. Then, dip the cutlets in it, and then in the breadcrumbs.
Step 7
Pan-fry the veal on medium heat. If you use high heat, the breadcrumbs will burn. The veal is thin, so it cooks quickly – about 3 minutes on each side.
Can You Freeze The Schnitzels?
Yes, you can freeze this keto beef schnitzel in the freezer for a few months. just make sure to wrap them tightly in cling film or aluminum foil.
It’s better to eat them fresh as they will be more crispy, but if you need to freeze them, they will still taste great.
To reheat, put them in the oven at a low temperature until they are warmed through.
Can You Deep Fry Them?
If you deep fry this keto veal schnitzel, it will be even more delicious. The breading will be extra crispy, and the meat will be juicy and tender.
I don’t like deep frying at home because it usually makes a mess. I prefer to pan-fry meat , or to use my Ninja grill to air fry. But if you want to deep fry, go for it!
Remember to use beef tallow or ghee, vegetable oils are not healthy and will not give you the same results.
Can You Bake Them Instead of Pan Frying?
You can, but they won’t be as crispy. If you really want to bake them, make sure to turn on the turbo feature on your oven, and cook them on a wire rack so that hot air can circulate around them.
Tips And Ideas
Keto Tzatziki Sauce
Check out my keto tzatziki sauce recipe. I I think the keto beef schnitzel would be great with this. Both recipes are so simple and easy to follow, so try them out!
Add Smoked Paprika
I like adding smoked paprika to all kinds of meats. Make sure to buy naturally smoked paprika, though, because the “fake stuff” doesn’t taste as good (they just mix it with liquid smoke).
