      💡Tips

      1. Room Temperature Ingredients

Take your eggs, cream cheese, and butter out of the fridge at least 1 hour before starting. When all ingredients are at room temperature, they mix together smoothly without any lumps.

Cold cream cheese especially can be stubborn and leave small chunks in your batter, which affects the final texture.

If you forgot to take them out early, you can speed up the process by putting the eggs in warm water for 5 minutes, and cutting the cream cheese and butter into small pieces.

Just don’t microwave the cream cheese – it can get too soft and affect the texture of your loaf.

      2. Cooling and Serving

Once your egg loaf is done, I recommend letting it cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes. This cooling period allows the egg loaf to set and makes it easier to remove from the pan without breaking.

After the initial cooling, use the parchment paper handles (if you used them) to carefully lift the loaf out of the pan and onto a wire rack.

Let it cool for another 10-15 minutes before slicing. This will make it easier to get clean slices.

If you’re planning to serve it warm, you can reheat individual slices in a pan with a bit of butter, or briefly in the microwave.

      FAQ

      1. Why did my loaf sink in the middle?

You might have overmixed the batter, which adds too much air that escapes during baking, causing the middle to collapse.

Also, opening the oven door too early during baking can cause the temperature to drop suddenly, making the loaf sink.

      2. Can I freeze this loaf?

Yes, this loaf freezes really well! First, let it cool completely. Then, slice it before freezing – this way, you can take out just what you need.

Place parchment paper or wax paper between each slice to prevent them from sticking together.

Put them in a freezer bag or airtight container and squeeze out as much air as possible. They’ll stay good in the freezer for up to 2 months.

      3. Can I add other ingredients like bacon or cheese?

Crumbled crispy bacon, shredded cheese, or even ground pork rinds can work well. If adding extras, make sure they’re room temperature and pat them dry to remove excess moisture.
