💡Tips
1. Using Different Meat
Don’t be afraid to mix things up and try different types of meat. Ground pork can add a rich, slightly sweet flavor, while bison offers a leaner option with a distinct taste. Lamb brings a unique, slightly gamey flavor that pairs well with the spices.
For a lighter version, try ground turkey or chicken. You can even experiment with combinations – a mix of beef and pork, for instance.
2. The Cheese
Consider using a mix of cheeses: sharp cheddar for its tangy bite, Monterey Jack for its excellent melting properties, and a bit of smoked gouda to complement the smoked paprika in the recipe.
You can also try stirring a small amount of finely grated cheese directly into the chili a few minutes before serving.
3. Broth vs. Water
While water works fine, beef broth adds a rich, savory undertone that elevates the entire dish. For an even more nutrient-dense option, consider using bone broth.
Bone broth not only enhances the flavor but also adds beneficial collagen and minerals to your meal. If you’re using store-bought broth, look for low-sodium options so you can control the salt content yourself.
Storage
This carnivore chili can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Make sure to let it cool completely before storing. When reheating, add a bit of beef broth or water to thin it out if needed.

What is the carb count please
I will definitely be trying this in the next couple of days! Curious about the lack of tomato, however… Tomatoes are low in carbs, and I love stewed tomatoes, and will probably add to the recipe.
Tomatoes are very high in carbs.
I am low carb, not Carnivore, so add 4 TBSP NO SUGAR catsup to it for that tomato flavor. The measurement works when I make it using 1 pound of ground beef, so may add more if you add all 3 pounds.
