Carnivore Chicken Wings

When I switched to a carnivore diet, one of the things I missed most was crispy chicken wings. Regular wings are usually coated in flour or cornstarch, which isn’t allowed on the carnivore diet.

Carnivore Chicken Wings

That’s why I created this recipe for incredibly crispy chicken wings using only carnivore diet friendly ingredients.

My Carnivore Cookbook

The secret to these wings is the combination of crushed pork rinds and parmesan cheese. The pork rinds create that crispy coating we all love, while the parmesan adds a rich, salty flavor that makes these wings absolutely delicious.

    Carnivore Chicken Wings Recipe

It’s amazing how these simple ingredients can create something that tastes just as good as traditional wings.

The coating stays crispy, the cheese doesn’t burn, and the chicken always comes out perfectly cooked. I’ve made these wings dozens of times, and they turn out great every single time. No complicated techniques or special equipment needed.

👍 Why You’ll Love This Recipe

Perfect Crunch: The combination of pork rinds and parmesan creates an incredibly crispy coating that stays crunchy even after the wings cool down.

Unlike regular breaded wings that can get soggy, this coating maintains its texture, making these wings perfect for leftovers or meal prep.

Budget Friendly: While some carnivore recipes require expensive cuts of meat or hard to find ingredients, these wings use basic ingredients that are affordable and easily available.

    Zero Carb Chicken Wings

Chicken wings are usually cheaper than many other meat cuts, and you probably already have parmesan cheese if you’re following a carnivore diet.

Quick Prep Time: The preparation takes less than 10 minutes – just dip the wings in egg and coat them with the pork rind mixture. There’s no need to marinate, no complicated steps, and no waiting around.

Family Friendly: These wings are a great way to introduce family members to carnivore-style cooking.

They look and taste similar to regular breaded wings, making them familiar and appealing to people who might be skeptical about the carnivore diet. Even picky eaters usually love them!

      Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

      Step 2

Whisk the eggs in a bowl until well combined. In a separate bowl, mix the pork rind crumbs with the shredded parmesan cheese.

You can add black pepper (or other seasonings like paprika) to the pork rind and cheese mixture. Stir to combine.

      Step 4

Dip each chicken wing in the beaten egg, allowing excess to drip off. Then coat thoroughly in the pork rind and cheese mixture.

      Step 5

Place the coated wings on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the coating is golden brown and crispy, and the chicken is cooked through. Serve hot and enjoy! Yum!

      💡Tips

      1. Pat Them Dry

Before starting the coating process, make sure to pat your chicken wings completely dry with paper towels. This step might seem small, but it makes a huge difference in how well the coating sticks and how crispy your wings turn out.

Wet wings will make the egg mixture slide right off, and the coating won’t stick properly. Take an extra minute to really dry each wing thoroughly – it’s worth it!

Also, letting the wings sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes before cooking helps them cook more evenly.

      2. Don’t Skip the Parmesan

The parmesan cheese isn’t just for flavor – it helps create that perfect golden brown crust. Use finely shredded parmesan, not the powdered kind.

The shredded cheese melts slightly during baking, helping the coating stick better and creating amazing crispy spots.

Mix it really well with the pork rind crumbs before coating the wings. If the cheese and pork rinds aren’t evenly mixed, some wings will have too much cheese and others not enough.

      3. Let Them Rest

After the wings come out of the oven, let them rest on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before serving. This resting time allows the coating to set and become even crispier.

If you move them too soon, the coating might fall off. Also, don’t cover them while they’re resting – steam will make them soggy.

If you need to keep them warm for a while, place them on a wire rack in a very low temperature oven (around 170°F) to maintain their crispiness without overcooking.
