    • 4oz Cream Cheese
    • 1 pound Ground Geef

    • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
    • 3 cups Beef Broth (I recommend this one – amazon)

      💡Tips

      1. Crispy Bacon

For the best flavor in your soup, you want your bacon to be super crispy. Cut the bacon into small pieces before cooking.

This helps it cook more evenly and get crispier. Put the bacon pieces in a cold pan (yep, cold!), then turn the heat to medium.

As the pan heats up, the bacon fat will slowly render out, making the bacon extra crispy without burning it. Stir it occasionally and keep an eye on it – bacon can go from perfect to burnt pretty quickly.

Once it’s done, take the crispy bits out of the pan with a slotted spoon and set them aside. Don’t get rid of that bacon fat in the pan though! Use it to cook your ground beef – it’ll add even more flavor to your soup.

      2. Cheese Matters

The type of cheese you use can make a big difference in how your soup turns out. Sharp cheddar is great because it has a strong flavor that stands up well to the beef and bacon.

When you’re adding the cheese to the soup, turn the heat down low and stir it in gradually. If you dump it all in at once or if the heat’s too high, the cheese might clump up or make the soup grainy.

      Frequently Asked Questions

How long does this soup last in the fridge?

This soup will stay good in the fridge for about 3-4 days. Make sure to let it cool down before you put it in the fridge, and store it in an airtight container.

When you want to eat it again, just reheat it gently on the stove or in the microwave. Give it a good stir before serving, as the fats might separate a bit when it’s cold.

Can I use a different type of cheese?

Absolutely! Cheddar cheese works great because it has a strong flavor that goes well with beef, but you could try other types too.

Monterey Jack would melt nicely and give a mild flavor.  Pepper Jack could add a nice kick if you like spice. Just make sure to use a cheese that melts well.

The flavor of this soup is fantastic, and the crunchy bacon on top was reminiscent of the days when I used to use crackers. My only tip to others is to add the cream slowly so it doesn’t break.
