To make the carnivore doughnuts you will need:

  • 7oz (200g) Cream Cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (unsalted)
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1.7 fl oz (50ml) Double Cream / Heavy Cream

Glaze (optional): Carnivore Caramel Sauce (easy recipe). You can also sprinkle Glycine powder on top (substitutes sugar powder).

Follow these steps to make the perfect zero carb carnivore diet doughnuts:

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2

Place the cream cheese, butter, and eggs into a blender.

Step 3

Pour in the heavy cream and blend everything together until smooth.

Step 4

Pour the blended mixture into a donut mold (it should fill 6).

Step 5

Bake in the oven for 20 minutes. Take the donuts out of the oven. Brush the carnivore caramel sauce (optional. These donuts are tasty without a glaze too). Let them cool and serve.

Note: While my original recipe calls for baking the donuts, I experimented with frying them (after baking them enough to hold shape), which is what you see in the photos. Both methods work well, but the recipe instructions are for baking.

To achieve a smooth and lump-free batter, it’s important to blend the ingredients thoroughly. Start by placing the softened cream cheese, butter, and eggs into the blender.

Pulse the mixture a few times to break down the ingredients and combine them initially. Then, pour in the heavy cream and blend everything together until the mixture is completely smooth and homogeneous.

This may take a minute or two, depending on the power of your blender. If needed, stop the blender and scrape down the sides with a spatula to ensure that all the ingredients are incorporated evenly.

2. Keep an Eye on the Baking Time

Oven temperatures can vary, so it’s important to keep an eye on your carnivore donuts while they bake to prevent over- or under-cooking. The recipe suggests baking the doughnuts for 20 minutes at 400°F (200°C), but this may need to be adjusted based on your oven’s performance.

Check the doughnuts after 15 minutes by inserting a toothpick into the center of one. If it comes out clean, the doughnuts are done. If there’s still batter on the toothpick, continue baking, checking every 2-3 minutes until they’re fully cooked.
