Carnivore Donuts With Caramel Glaze

Made with simple ingredients like cream cheese and eggs, these donuts have the perfect texture and taste that will remind you of traditional baked goods, without any of the carbs or plant based ingredients.

The beauty of these donuts lies in their simplicity – just mix, blend, and bake. You don’t need any special baking skills or complicated techniques to make them.

My Carnivore Cookbook

What makes these donuts truly remarkable is their versatility. You can enjoy them plain, which is already delicious, or take them to the next level with a carnivore friendly caramel glaze.

    Carnivore Donuts

They’re perfect for breakfast, as a snack, or even as a protein rich dessert that won’t kick you out of ketosis.

These donuts are especially great for those days when you’re craving something different from your regular meat based meals.

They provide a nice change of texture and taste while still keeping true to the carnivore diet principles. Plus, they’re filling and satisfying, thanks to the protein and healthy fats from the cream cheese and eggs.

👍 Why You’ll Love This Recipe

Perfect Texture: These donuts have an amazing texture that’s hard to find in carnivore baking. They’re soft and fluffy on the inside, with a slightly crispy outside.

No Special Ingredients: Everything you need is probably already in your fridge if you’re following a carnivore diet – just cream cheese, eggs, butter, and heavy cream. No complicated or hard to find ingredients to worry about!

    Carnivore Donuts Recipe

Quick Preparation: These donuts come together in just minutes. The actual hands on time is less than 10 minutes – just blend the ingredients and pour into molds.

Filling and Satisfying: Each donut is packed with protein and healthy fats, making them much more filling than regular donuts. Just one or two will keep you full for hours, unlike regular donuts that can leave you hungry soon after eating them.

    ✨ Recipe Ingredients

      👨‍🍳 How To Make

Follow these steps to make the perfect zero carb carnivore diet doughnuts:

      Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

      Step 2

Place the cream cheese, butter, and eggs into a blender. Add the honey if using.

      Step 3

Pour in the heavy cream and blend everything together until smooth.

      Blended Carnivore Donuts

      Step 4

Pour the blended mixture into a donut mold (it should fill 6 big ones, or 12 small ones).

      Step 5

Bake in the oven for 20 minutes. Then, flip them over and bake for 5 more minutes.

      Baking Carnivore Donuts

Take the donuts out of the oven. Brush the carnivore caramel sauce (optional. These donuts are tasty without a glaze too). Let them cool and serve.

Note: Some people have sent messages saying their donuts came out “eggy”. To be honest – I really like the texture and taste of these, but obviously – they won’t taste exactly like regular donuts. This is the carnivore version, so we have to work with animal products only.

      💡Tips

      1. Don’t Overfill The Molds

The donut batter will rise a bit during baking, so fill your donut molds only about 3/4 full. If you fill them to the top, the donuts will expand too much and lose their classic donut shape.

Also, tap the filled mold gently on the counter a few times to remove any air bubbles that might be trapped in the batter.

      Zero Carb Donuts

      2. Watch The Color, Not Just The Time

While I recommend baking for 20 minutes, every oven is different. Start checking your donuts at around 15 minutes.

You’re looking for a sligtly golden brown color on top – not too light (which means they’re undercooked inside) and not too dark (which can make them dry).

The donuts should spring back when you gently press the top with your finger. If they leave an indent, they need a bit more time.

      FAQ

Will my donuts deflate after baking?

Yes, these donuts will naturally deflate a bit after coming out of the oven, and that’s completely normal!

Unlike regular donuts that contain flour and rising agents, these carnivore donuts rely on eggs for their rise. They’ll puff up nicely in the oven, and then settle down slightly as they cool.

This doesn’t mean anything went wrong – it’s just how these donuts behave due to their ingredients.

Why did my cream cheese leave lumps in the batter?

Lumpy batter usually happens when the cream cheese isn’t at room temperature or wasn’t beaten long enough. Take the cream cheese out of the fridge at least 30 minutes before starting.
