✨ Recipe Ingredients

  • 10 Bacon Medallions
  • 6 eggs (large)
  • 3/4 cups Fat Free Natural Yogurt
  • 2/3 cups cheddar cheese (grated)
  • Your Favorite Seasoning (or just salt and pepper)
  • Beef Tallow / Butter

👨‍🍳 How To Make

Follow this easy recipe:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F.

Step 2

Melt beef tallow or butter in a large frying pan. Cook the bacon in the pan until crispy.

Step 3

In a bowl, mix the yogurt, two eggs, half of the cheese, and the seasonings until well combined.

Step 4

Spray a 7-inch quiche dish with cooking spray. Place 3 bacon pieces on the base of the dish. Crack a couple of eggs onto the bacon, and pour some of the yogurt mixture over the eggs.

Repeat these layers until all the bacon, eggs, and yogurt mixture are used up, finishing with a layer of the yogurt mixture. Finally, sprinkle the remaining cheese evenly over the top.

Step 5

Bake in the oven for 22-25 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven, let the pie cool for 10 minutes, and then slice and serve.

💡Tips

1. Letting the Quiche Rest

Once your quiche is finished baking, it’s important to let it rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving. This allows the filling to set and makes for cleaner, more even slices.

If you’re having trouble removing the quiche from the dish, you can run a knife around the edge to loosen it before slicing. Serve the quiche hot or at room temperature, and enjoy the delicious flavors and textures of this satisfying carnivore meal.

2. Baking and serving

When baking your quiche, be sure to place it on a middle rack in your preheated oven. This will ensure even cooking and help prevent the top from browning too quickly. Bake the quiche for 22-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.

To check for doneness, insert a knife or toothpick into the center of the quiche – if it comes out clean, your quiche is ready. Once baked, allow the quiche to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
