      👨‍🍳 How To Make

      Follow these steps:

      Step 1

Start by preheating the oven to 400°F (200°C) and greasing a frying pan with butter.

      Step 2

Chop up three pieces of bacon. Add it to the pan with the ground beef, salt, and pepper. Cook everything until lightly browned.

Transfer the cooked beef and bacon to a baking dish.

      Step 3

Crack three eggs into a bowl and whisk. Add them to the baking dish on top of the meat, then add the double cream and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix well.

      Step 4

Top the dish with the remaining grated cheese and three more chopped pieces of bacon.

      Step 5

Bake for 25-30 minutes. Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!

      💡Tips

      1. Season the Meat Mixture

While the recipe calls for salt and pepper, don’t be afraid to experiment with additional seasonings.

Consider adding garlic powder, onion powder, or smoked paprika to the ground beef and bacon mixture. These spices will complement the richness of the beef and add depth to the overall flavor profile of your pie.

When seasoning the meat, be mindful of the salt content. The bacon and cheddar cheese will also contribute saltiness to the dish, so start with a smaller amount of salt and adjust as needed.

      2. Baking and Resting

Preheat your oven fully before placing the dish inside to ensure even cooking. Bake the pie on the middle rack to allow for proper air circulation and even heat distribution. The suggested baking time is 25-30 minutes, but ovens can vary, so start checking at the 20-minute mark.

The pie should be golden brown on top and slightly firm in the center. After baking, let the pie rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing. This resting period allows the pie to set, making it easier to slice and preventing it from falling apart.
