Keto Coffee Milkshake

If you love coffee and you’re following a keto diet, this recipe is going to become one of your favorites.

Keto Coffee Milkshake

I’m talking about a keto coffee milkshake that tastes just like the ones you get from coffee shops, but without all the sugar and carbs. It’s creamy, cold, and has that perfect coffee flavor that will satisfy your cravings.

The best part is that it’s actually good for you and fits perfectly into your keto meal plan. Making this milkshake is surprisingly simple.

This recipe is perfect for those mornings when you want something more than just regular coffee, but you don’t want to break your diet. It’s also great as an afternoon pick-me-up or even as a dessert after dinner.

Because it has protein powder in it, you’re getting a good amount of protein along with your caffeine. This makes it more filling than a regular coffee drink, so it can actually keep you satisfied for hours.

👍 Why You’ll Love This Recipe

Frozen Heavy Cream is a Game Changer: The biggest trick in this recipe is using frozen heavy cream cubes instead of regular ice.

When you freeze heavy cream and blend it, you get this incredibly thick and creamy texture that’s just like a real milkshake from a restaurant.

Packed with Protein to Keep You Full: This isn’t just a regular drink – it’s actually quite filling because of the whey protein powder.

Low Carb Keto Coffee Milkshake

Each serving gives you a good amount of protein, which is important when you’re on keto. Protein helps keep you satisfied for hours, so you won’t be hungry again thirty minutes after drinking this.

Super Quick to Make: After you’ve frozen your heavy cream cubes, making this milkshake takes literally just five minutes. All you do is throw everything into a blender and press a button.

💡Tips

1. Freeze the Cream Cubes Completely

Make sure your heavy cream cubes are frozen solid before you try to blend them. This usually takes at least 3-4 hours in the freezer, but I recommend leaving them overnight to be safe.

If the cubes aren’t completely frozen, they won’t create that thick milkshake texture you’re looking for. They’ll just melt into liquid and make your drink thin and watery instead of creamy and thick.

You can test if they’re ready by taking one cube out and trying to press on it – if it’s hard as a rock, you’re good to go. If it’s still a bit soft or squishy in the middle, give it more time.

2. Add the Frozen Cubes Gradually

Don’t dump all your frozen cream cubes into the blender at once. This is a mistake that can overwhelm your blender and make it hard to get everything mixed properly.

Start by adding 2-3 cubes after you’ve blended the milk, protein powder, vanilla, and coffee together. Blend those first few cubes until they’re completely broken down and mixed in.

Then add 2-3 more cubes and blend again. Keep doing this until your milkshake reaches the thickness you want.

If you add too many cubes at once, the blender blades might not be able to reach them properly, and you’ll end up with chunks of frozen cream that won’t blend.

3. Blend Until Completely Smooth

You want to blend until there are absolutely no chunks or lumps of frozen cream left – everything should be totally smooth and uniform.

This usually takes longer than you think, especially if you don’t have a powerful blender. After you add each batch of frozen cubes, blend for at least 30-45 seconds before adding more.

FAQ

Can I use regular ice cubes instead of frozen heavy cream cubes?

You technically can, but your milkshake won’t taste nearly as good or have the right texture.

Regular ice cubes will make your drink watery and thin because when they melt, they add water to your milkshake. This dilutes all the flavors and ruins that thick, creamy texture that makes this recipe special.
