Use a sharp knife to cut the pork skin strips into bite-sized pieces, about 1×1 inch.
Fill a large pot halfway with water and add the pork skin pieces and salt. Bring to a boil, and let it cook for 30 minutes.
Remove the pot from the heat and pour the water off (use a colander to strain).
Let the pork skin pieces cool, and then slice the fat off the skin of each piece. Place them on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake at 200°F for 3.5 hours. Then, remove from the oven. Fill a large saucepan with 1 inch of lard, wait for it to heat, and fry the pork skins. They will start to pop like popcorn after a few seconds. Let them cook for 1-2 minutes, and then remove them carefully.
