Parmesan cheesegrated
1/8teaspoonsCream of Tartar
Instructions
Start by preheating the oven to 300°F and greasing donut muffin pans thoroughly to prevent sticking. I used a slicone one.
Place the frozen shredded cheese in a blender or food processor. Pulse until the cheese is in very tiny pieces.
Whip the egg whites with the cream of tartar in a mixing bowl until stiff peaks form. Then, sprinkle the cheese from the blender on top.
Use a rubber spatula to fold the cheese into the egg whites. Be careful and gentle – we want them to stay airy.
Spoon or pipe the mixture into the greased donut muffin pans, filling each cavity about 2/3 full. Sprinkle a bit of grated parmesan on top for extra flavor.
Bake at 300°F for 25-30 minutes until golden and crispy. Allow to cool slightly, then carefully remove from the pans and slice each donut in half. Enjoy!
