For this keto rye bread recipe you will need these ingredients:

The Dry Ingredients

  • 10.5oz (300g) Flax Meal
  • 4.2oz (120g) Coconut Flour – this flour (amazon paid link) is excellent for this low carb rye bread.
  • 1.1oz (30g) Ground Chia Seeds
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons Caraway Seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Erythritol / Swerve sweetener
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Salt

The Wet Ingredients

  • 8 separated Eggs
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Toasted Sesame Oil – I recommend using this oil (paid amazon link).
  • 1/3 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 cup (3.9oz) softened Ghee or Butter
  • 1 cup (8 fl oz) Warm water 

🍞 How To Make Keto Rye Bread 

Let’s make this great zero carb rye bread! Just follow these simple steps:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350F (175C). Add all the dry ingredients to a large bowl. Whisk them until well combined.

Step 2

Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. Place the egg whites aside for now. Add the ghee and toasted sesame oil into the egg yolks.

Cream them together. Take another bowl and whisk the egg whites until soft peaks appear. Avoid over mixing.

Step 3

Add the dry mixture into the bowl with the egg yolk mixture. Then, add vinegar and mix everything well until the batter forms.

Step 4

Add warm water and continue mixing. Then, add the egg whites and mix gently, try not to over-mix and lose all the air in the batter.

Step 5

Grease a loaf pan with butter or cooking spray. Add the batter. Cook for about 55 minutes.

When ready, remove from the oven and allow to cool for an hour. Enjoy this tasty low carb rye bread!
