👨‍🍳 Keto Sub Rolls Ingredients

To make these keto hoagie rolls – you will need:

6 Separated Eggs

1 cup Egg White Protein Powder – Other types of protein powder may work as well, but the best texture and taste is achieved with egg white protein powder.

1/2 cup Keto Frriendly Mayonnaise

1/4 cup Allulose (liquid) – Liquid Allulose is the perfect sweetener for this keto sub rolls recipe.

1/4 teaspoon Xanthan Gum – You can make these low carb sub rolls without it, but I think it really makes the texture perfect.

1 1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder

1 teaspoon White Vinegar

1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda

1/4 teaspoon Rye Extract (optional) – adds a really nice taste, but you can skip this ingredient if you want to.

⭐ How To Make Low Carb Sub Rolls

Here is how you can easily make your own low carb hoagie rolls at home:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 300F (150C).

Take the egg whites and place them in the bowl of a stand mixer. Add in the vinegar and whip the mixture until it forms stiff peaks.

This process should take no more than 15 minutes.

Step 2

Place the egg yolks in a blender with all the other ingredients. Blend them until the mixture is smooth.

Step 3

Spoon the yolk mixture into the whipped egg whites and blend well. Do this in 3-4 batches until everything is combined.

Step 4

Pour the batter into a sub roll pan (use 2 cavities).Online you can find many of these sub roll pans – they are sold for very reasonable prices and will make your baking process much easier.

Step 5

Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes. Then, shut the oven off and keep them inside for 7-8 more minutes.

Then, remove and let them cool before cutting them.
