For this low carb schnitzel recipe you will need:

  • 1.1 pound (500g) Pork Schnitzel – loin steak or pork chop (4 schnitzels)
  • 3.5oz (100g) Almond Flour
  • 2 large Eggs (beaten)
  • a pinch of Salt
  • a pinch of Pepper
  • 1 1/4 tablespoon Dried Sage
  • Butter (for frying)

⭐ Making Keto Wiener Schnitzel 

This keto pork schnitzel recipe is so easy (and tasty!). Just follow these steps:

Step 1

Beat the eggs in a mixing bowl. Then, take another bowl and mix the almond flour, salt, pepper, and dried sage.

Step 2

Dip each slice of pork schnitzel in the eggs (and of course cover both sides of the meat). Then, dip it in the almond flour mixture – coating it completely.

Step 3

Place the pan over medium heat. Add butter, and once hot – fry each keto pork schnitzel until golden brown.

Freezing

You can definitely freeze this keto wiener schnitzel – but keep in mind that after it’s been frozen and then reheated, the pork will be a bit tougher and not as crispy.

I always recommend reheating it in the oven at a low temperature so it doesn’t dry out.

For a very long time, I was making keto wiener schnitzels from beef or chicken filets. They were both delicious.

But, after trying to make schnitzel from pork, I absolutely fell in love. It really tastes amazing and it’s a lot cheaper than beef.

Try Adding Smoked Paprika

I really like adding smoked paprika to my keto pork schnitzel. It gives it a great flavor. I always make sure to buy naturally smoked paprika.

There are many brands out there that add artificial smoke flavorings and I avoid those. I recommend using this smoked paprika (paid amazon link)- it’s really nice.
