Keto Fruit Pizza Recipe

When I was eating carbs, fruit pizza was one of my favorite desserts. It’s really delicious. So creamy and sweet, with a tartness from the fresh fruit.

I was looking for a low carb fruit pizza recipe, that would fit into my new keto lifestyle. I found many of them. After trying a few, I decided to create my own keto fruit pizza recipe.

My keto fruit pizza recipe is easy and tastes amazing. It’s also low in carbs – and the crust is super nice. This really tastes like a real fruit pizza and not some keto knock-off.

💡 Keto Fruit Pizza Ingredients

For the Crust

8 tablespoons melted Butter

1 1/2 cup Almond Flour

To make the pizza crust, we are using almond flour. This ingridient is very popular in keto and low carb recipes, because it is low in carbs, and allows you to create all kinds of delicious recipes.

You can make almond flour at home (it’s cheaper and you know excactly which ingredients go into it) or you can buy it in a health food store.

2 tablespoons Sweetener

1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

🍕 How To Make Keto Fruit Pizza?

Step 1: Preparing The Crust

Start by preheating the oven to 350 F(180c). Combine the melted butter, almond flour, sweetener, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Mix well until the ingredients form a soft dough.

Step 2: Baking The Crust

Press the crust into a pizza pan or baking sheet that has been lightly sprayed with cooking spray. Make sure the crust is an even layer.

Now, bake it for 7 minutes – until its color changes to light brown and it becomes a bit crispy. It’s important to not overcook it to prevent a hard texture. The thicker the crust, the longer it will take to cook.

Step 3: Frosting

Use a food processor to combine the cream cheese with the other frosting ingredients until the mixture is smooth.

Step 4: Adding Fruits

Evenly spread the frosting on top of the crust. And finally (and this is the fun part!)- top with your favorite fruit.

Is This Fruit Pizza Really Keto Friendly?

I created this low carb fruit pizza recipe because I wanted to have a healthier alternative to the usual sugary fruit pizza.

The keto fruit pizza crust is made with almond flour, which is keto-friendly and gluten-free.

But that doesn’t mean you can eat a pound of keto fruit pizza a day and stay in ketosis! This is still a treat and should be enjoyed in moderation.

What Fruits Can You Use?

Just because the crust of this keto fruit pizza is keto-friendly, doesn’t mean you can just go ahead and add any fruit you want in any quantity.

It’s important to remember that not all fruits are created equal when it comes to carbs and sugar content. It’s better to use lower carb fruits like raspberries and blueberries.

Don’t go overboard – a bit of fruit goes a long way on this keto fruit pizza. Too much fruit and you will consume much more sugar than you think.

Can You Freeze This Keto Fruit Pizza?

Yes, this sugar free fruit pizza can be frozen. I would recommend freezing it in one piece and not cutting it into slices. This will help to keep it from drying out.

But honestly, the best way to eat this is fresh. The crust is delicate and gets soggy when frozen. The toppings are best when fresh as well. So, if you can, make it and eat it right away.

Frozen vs. Fresh Fruits

I mainly use fresh fruits for my keto fruit pizza. Frozen fruits are fine too, but in my opinion- they don’t taste as good as fresh fruits – their texture changes.

If you are on a strict keto diet, and this is your “cheat meal”- make it the best it can be by using fresh fruits!

In some countries, fresh raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries can be quite expensive. In that case, using frozen fruits is more budget-friendly.

Tips And Tricks

Freeze Before Slicing

If you want your slices to look nice with sharp edges, make sure to freeze your pizza before slicing it. 15-20 minutes should do the trick. It really makes a difference!
