To make this sugar free caramel sauce you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
  • 2 1/2 tablespoon Bocha Sweet Sugar Replacement
  • 3 1/2 tablespoon Swerve Brown Sweetener
  • 1/2 teaspoon Xanthan Gum
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon of Water

🤩 Making Low Carb Caramel Sauce

This sugar free caramel recipe is very simple. Follow these insturctions to make the perfect keto caramel syrup!

Step 1

Add butter, Swerve, and Bocha sweetener to a saucepan. Place it over medium heat. Mix, and bring the mixture to a boil – cook for 4-5 minutes.

Avoid over-cooking or burning the mixture – it will make it taste bitter.

Step 2

Remove from the heat. And add heavy cream right away. It should start bubbling at this point.

Add the xanthan gum and salt, and whisk for a few minutes until fully mixed in.

Step 3

Place the saucepan over medium heat again and boil the mixture for a minute. Then, let it cool down for about 10 minutes, and add water. Stir it well until the ingredients have combined.

And now you can enjoy this keto caramel syrup!

If you follow my carb free caramel sauce recipe, you will notice that the sauce is super tasty, but not salty. I like my caramel sauce this way.

But, if you want to make salted sugar free caramel dip- simply add another 1/4 teaspoon of salt (or to taste) to the sauce while it is boiling.

No, the recipe won’t work without xanthan gum since it helps bind all the ingredients together. Also, it gives the keto caramel sauce its amazing texture – thick and creamy.
