Using Pork Rinds

In my opinion, the best keto replacement for breadcrumbs is pork rinds. They are an excellent low carb option and they add a delicious crunch to many recipes.

They contain zero carbs, so you can add them to recipes without worrying!

Pork Rinds vs. Almond Flour

There are many recipes out there for keto friendly bread crumbs- but most people will say the best keto substitute for panko breadcrumbs is pork rinds. The texture, low carb count, and tasty flavor are hard to beat.

Almond flour as a bread crumb replacement is fine, but not nearly as good as pork rinds. It doesn’t have the same crunchiness and texture. You can try mixing both pork rinds and almond flour for a unique texture and taste.

Keto Panko vs. Keto Bread Crumbs

For some recipes – finely ground pork rinds are needed, while for others -panko style crumbs are required.

Both of them are super easy to make, and you can even mix both panko and traditional bread crumbs for a special texture. .

Seasoning

You can add different seasonings to the low carb bread crumbs, or keep them plain.

Keep in mind that most pork rinds are very salty, so if your seasoning mix contains salt, you might want to use it in moderation.

I used Italian seasoning, I think it really adds a nice flavor to the bread crumbs.

Freezing

You can freeze the leftover no carb bread crumbs for up to 6 months. I recommend vacuum sealing or double wrapping in plastic wrap to ensure the crumbs retain their freshness.

Their texture will change a bit, but they will definitely be still usable.
