To make this tasty keto bacon jam you will need:

  • 15 pieces of Sliced Bacon
  • 1/2 cup Black Coffee
  • 1 small Onion
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons Erythritol
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic (minced)
  • 3/4 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Hot Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire
  • 1 teaspoon Liquid Smoke
  • 3/4 teaspoon Black Pepper

🥓 Making Low Carb Bacon Jam

Easily make the perfect sugar free bacon jam! Just follow these simple steps:

Step 1

Start by cutting the bacon into medium chunks. Place a pan over medium heat and cook the bacon until it becomes crispy and the fat renders.

Step 2

While the bacon cooks, mince the garlic and chop the onion.

Step 3

Remove the bacon from the pan, and drain off half of the bacon fat. Leave the pan over medium heat.

Step 4

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pan with the bacon fat. Cook it and stir continuously until the onions and garlic are softened.

Step 5

Add the sweetener, soy sauce, black coffee, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire, liquid smoke, and black paper. Cook for about 2 minutes and mix thoroughly.

Step 6

Add the bacon back to the pan. Mix it in and cook for about 35 minutes – stirring every few minutes.

Allow the sauce to reduce by a significant amount while it cooks.

Step 7

Add the mixture to a food processor and blend until the consistency is chunky. Pour into a container, and place in the fridge for at least a few hours.

But, if you want a sweeter jam, feel free to add more Erythritol. You can also add a few drops of stevia in addition to the Erythritol to get a deeper sweetness.

Liquid Smoke

I added just a bit of liquid smoke to the keto bacon jam- a little goes a long way!

The smoky flavor was a nice addition that gave it an added depth of richness.

Don’t add more than a teaspoon of liquid smoke, it’s very strong in flavor. You can easily ruin this jam by adding too much.
