⭐ Making Low Carb Asian Meatballs

Easily prepare the tastiest keto asian turkey meatballs ever! Follow this recipe:

Step 1

Start by preheating the oven to 395F (200C) and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Then, add all the meatball ingredients to a large bowl except for the ground turkey.

Stir until the ingredients are combined. Add the turkey ground meat and mix. Avoid over-mixing because the texture of the meatballs will be affected.

Step 2

Scoop 1-inch balls onto a prepared baking sheet. You can use your hands or a cookie scoop.

Bake them for about 15 minutes or until browned and cooked through.

Step 3

And now we will make the sauce. Add the sauce ingredients to a saucepan (1 liter) and whisk them together.

Simmer the mixture for about 10-12 minutes until it thickens. The sauce will continue thickening once it cools.

Step 4

Mix the sauce with the meatballs and serve. I also like adding green onions and sesame seeds on top – it adds flavor and decoration.

Ground Turkey

I used ground turkey meat to make these keto asian meatballs, because I think it’s the perfect meat for this dish.

The ground turkey has a nice leanness to it, and its flavor it not too overpowering.

If you prefer to use pork or beef, you can certainly do so. You can try mixing pork and turkey ground meat together to make a 50/50 mix.

Crushed Pork Rinds

I added crushed pork rinds to make the asian keto meatballs more crunchy and hold their shape better.

You could also use almond flour instead- about 1/4 or 1/5 cup. I use pork rinds in many of my recipes, it replaces bread crumbs, and it’s very high in fat and low in carbs (so- perfect for a keto diet).

Carbs

Each one of these keto asian meatballs contains 1g of net carbs. It’s not the lowest-carb meatball dish out there, but compared to the classic asian meatballs, it’s a pretty big difference!

The classic asian meatballs usually have twice as many carbs. Eat this dish in moderation and enjoy.

Freezing

You can freeze the low carb asian meatballs and enjoy them later. Simply cook the meatballs as directed, let them cool completely and then freeze them in a freezer-safe bag or container.

Reheat them in the oven or microwave when you are ready to eat them. I recommend making the sauce fresh and not freezing it with meatballs.

I hope you liked my recipe. These asian meatballs are low carb, full of flavor, and super easy to make.

If you’re looking for a delicious and healthy keto dinner, then you’ll love these meatballs. I’m sure you will enjoy them as much as I did. Make sure to check out other great keto recipes on my website.
