👨‍🍳 Keto Aebleskiver Recipe Ingredients

For this low carb aebleskiver recipe you will need:

  • 3 Eggs
  • 0.7oz (20g) Melted Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Erythritol
  • 3/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

⭐ Making Keto Ebelskivers

Step 1

Beat eggs, vanilla extract and erythritol in a large bowl for about 3 minutes. The mixture should be doubled in volume.

Then add the melted butter and milk. Mix and beat again until well combined.

Step 2

Add baking powder along with coconut flour to the mixture and beat until the batter starts forming.

Step 3

Heat the aebleskiver pan and grease the slots with butter. Fill with batter and cook on medium heat until the bottom is cooked (brown-gold color).

Flip them and cook for another 1:30 minutes. Once done, let them cool for a minute and serve!

For this recipe, you will need an Ebelskivers pan. There are many models available, but I recommend this one (paid amazon link). It’s a great size, easy to use, and the price is reasonable.

If you like pancakes, I definitely recommend buying a good pan that will last you a long time.

Can You Use Other Sweeteners?

I use Erythritol to make these aebleskivers low carb. Erythritol is a great sugar substitute because it doesn’t spike blood sugar levels as regular sugar does.

You could also use another type of sugar substitute like Monkfruit. But from my experience, Erythritol gives these aebleskivers the best flavor and texture.

    Amazing! We add almond extract as I’m Danish. I also used half & half to cut the carbs even a bit more.
