Cream Cheese Shrimp Dip Recipe

This creamy, rich dip combines tender shrimp with smooth cream cheese, creating a perfect blend of flavors that will satisfy your cravings.

The addition of mayonnaise makes it extra creamy, while the Tabasco and Worcestershire sauce add just the right amount of kick without overpowering the natural taste of the shrimp.

      👨‍🍳 How To Make

      Follow this easy recipe:

      Step 1

Add the cream cheese and lemon juice to a medium bowl. Mix them together using a spoon until creamy.

      Step 2

Mix in the mayonnaise, Tabasco, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.

      Step 3

      Add the shrimp and mix.

      Step 4

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

      Step 5

Serve with carnivore bread or carnivore crackers.

      💡Tips

      1.  Chilling Time Matters

While I recommend at least 2 hours of chilling, letting it sit overnight in the refrigerator gives even better results.

The extra time allows all the flavors to blend together perfectly. Just make sure to cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface of the dip to prevent a skin from forming. This also keeps the dip from absorbing any refrigerator odors.

      2. The Perfect Texture

The final texture of your dip should be thick enough to hold its shape on a cracker but still be easily spreadable.

If your dip seems too thick, you can thin it out by adding a tiny bit more mayonnaise, one teaspoon at a time. If it’s too thin (which might happen if your shrimp released too much liquid), you can thicken it by adding more cream cheese.

Just remember to adjust the seasonings accordingly if you make any of these adjustments.

      FAQ

      1. My dip turned out too thick. How can I fix it?

If your dip is too thick, there are a few easy ways to fix it. The simplest solution is to add a little more mayonnaise, one teaspoon at a time, mixing well after each addition until you reach the desired consistency.

Make sure your cream cheese was properly softened before mixing – cold cream cheese can make the dip too thick.

If you’ve already added extra mayonnaise and it’s still too thick, let it sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes, then mix again.

      2. Isn’t Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce against the carnivore diet ?

While it’s true that both Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce contain some plant-based ingredients, this recipe uses very small amounts of these sauces primarily as flavor enhancers – we’re talking about just 1/2 teaspoon of Worcestershire and 1 teaspoon of Tabasco for the entire recipe.

Many people following a carnivore diet choose to include tiny amounts of certain seasonings and sauces to add flavor to their meals, especially when they’re first transitioning to the diet or following a more relaxed version.
