I made these bacon wrapped chicken wings as an “experiment”, and the result was mouth-watering!

👨‍🍳 Bacon Wrapped Chicken Wings Ingredients

To make these tasty and crispy bacon wrapped chicken wings you will need:

  • 2 lbs Chicken Wings (900g)
  • 1 lb thick-cut Bacon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Smoked Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1/4 Cup Low Carb Hot sauce

For The Dipping Sauce

  • 1 pitted Avocado
  • 1/4 Cup Full Fat Sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 Cup chopped Fresh Parsley
  • 1/4 Cup Low Carb Mayonnaise
  • half a lemon (juice only)

🥓 Making Bacon Wrapped Wings 

These keto bacon wrapped chicken wings are so easy to make! Follow these instructions:

Step 1

Start by preheating the oven to 400F (200C). Next, take a wire rack and place it inside a baking sheet.

Step 2

Add the wings, salt, smoked paprika, pepper, and chilli powder into a large bowl and mix everything together – coating the wings.

Step 3

Cut the bacon strips in half. Wrap every chicken wing with half a strip of bacon. Put the chicken wings on the wire rack.

Step 4

Brush each bacon wing with hot sauce. Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes. Flip them after about 20 minutes.

Once the bacon is crispy – and the wings are fully cooked through – they’re done!

Step 5

To make the mayonnaise avocado dipping sauce – combine avocado, sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, parsley, and salt & pepper.

Place in the bowl of a food processor and pulse until creamy. This dipping sauce is perfect for bacon wrapped chicken wings!

The Dipping Sauce

The dipping sauce I showed you how to make is really good. It makes these bacon wrapped hot wings taste even better.

The main ingredient in this sauce is mayonnaise. I recommend using homemade mayo, it’s really easy to make. Store-bought mayo will work just fine, but it most likely contains seed or vegetable oils.

That’s why I prefer using homemade mayo, or at least an organic brand that doesn’t use those oils.

Keto & Chicken Meat

Many people argue that chicken is not optimal for the ketogenic diet. However, in my opinion – that’s not true. There are a few cuts of chicken that are high in fat – like chicken wings and thighs.

I personally feel much better eating chicken, than I do eating beef or lamb. Some people have sensitivity to red meat, and chicken is a great alternative.

Bacon Wrapped Chicken Wings Air Fryer

You can also make these chicken wings in the air fryer! Just set the temperature to 400 degrees F and cook for about 15-20 minutes, until the bacon is crispy.

I prefer the oven because I make a bigger batch at once, but the air fryer if you want your wings extra crispy.
