You can also use walnuts, almonds, or any other kind of nuts, but I think pecans work best. Try mixing it up depending on your taste.

Erythritol

To make these air fryer candied pecans low carb, I used erythritol instead of regular sugar.

Erythritol is not only low in calories and carbohydrates, but it also has a mild, sweet flavor that is perfect for these sweet and crunchy candied pecans.

It’s also great to know that you don’t have to sacrifice taste and texture when you’re making a lower carb treat.

Even if you are not following a keto or low carb diet, this recipe is recommended over ones that use regular sugar. It’s so much healthier and still tastes great.

Honey

I added one tablespoon of honey, and it really makes a difference. It helps the pecans get a sweet and crunchy texture.

Vanilla Extract

To make these candied pecans tastier, I added a bit of pure vanilla extract. It really makes the flavor of the pecans pop!

You can also try and use other extracts like almond, orange, or even a combination of different flavors.

Nowadays, there are many brands that offer excellent quality extracts.
